Nail Art Wednesday: Gift Wrapped Nails

Today I have more Christmas-inspired nail art to get you in the Christmas spirit! I'm actually still in the process of writing out all my Christmas cards (I know, I know, I don't think they'll make it in time either, but that's procrastination for you) and I still have a stack to go through. But when it comes to gifts, I like to pride myself in being one heck of a gift giver. That's assuming I know the giftee well enough and have had enough time for reconnaissance. See, the trick is to pay attention. Throughout the year, everyone will tell whoever is willing to listen what exactly they like. People like to talk about themselves that way, whether they realize it or not. (Little trick I've learned: In most social settings, when in doubt or at a loss for words to keep a conversation going, usually asking what the other person thinks or anything that pertains to them is enough to keep the awkward silences at bay.) Once you have this information, getting the perfect gift is easy. It then becomes a waiting game to make sure I get the best deal and sometimes, when I'm lucky, I have my entire shopping list all checked out even before December hits. (As of this writing, I am officially done for a week now with all the shopping and the gift wrapping. Okay, enough gloating.) Anyway, on with the nails!

Gift wrapped with ribbons on top.

What I Used:
Green: Nubar Greener
Red: NYC In a New York Minute Madison Avenue
Metallic Stamping Polish: Color Club Antiquated
Bundle Monster plate: 201 (swirly pattern)

How I Did It:

This was a fairly easy design. On a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being the hardest, this would be a 4. Mostly because if you're not used to stamping, it might be a bit tricky and getting the lines straight also take some practice. A great striper brush with fine bristles helps very much, so make sure you have one on hand.

If you're wondering, that's a small plush heart I'm holding. I thought the red goes well with the design.

With a teeny tiny stocking that Hammie claims dibs on.

A Hammie-sized Santa!

What's Christmas without a bit of tinsel? Personally, I prefer ribbons and candy cane, though.

Hammie says: 11 days before Christmas! Bring on the Christmas carols and eggnog!

--------------
How's your Wednesday going? Mine's pretty hectic. I've done pretty much all I can do by way of straightening out the house in time for the in laws' visit. I might still do my bit of scrambling here and there if my borderline OCD gets the best of me (I prefer to be proactive and ensure there's nothing that can be complained about-- not that they complain at all. They're a lovely couple.) but that's about it. Hope your Wednesday is treating you right! (Behave, Wednesday. We're sorry but Friday is still our favorite next to Saturday and Sunday. Don't worry, you're a close 4th.)
